Lioresal is used for:Treating severe muscle spasms due to a variety of causes, including multiple sclerosis or brain or spinal cord injuries. Lioresal is a muscle relaxant and antispastic agent. It reduces the frequency and severity of muscle spasms that occur as a result of neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis. Do NOT use Lioresal if:- you are allergic to any ingredient in Lioresal
Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you. Before using Lioresal :Some medical conditions may interact with Lioresal . Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you: - if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
- if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
- if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
- if you have kidney problems or kidney failure
- If you suffer from nerve damage, bizarre behavior, or have had a stroke
- If you have an infection or very high blood pressure associated with a spinal injury
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Lioresal . Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following: - Epidural morphine because shortness of breath and a significant decrease in blood pressure may occur
